In the 3rd minute, Haroldo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rômulo Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Schmidt in the 12th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Paulinho de Carvalho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ardeira's Rômulo Tróia. Rômulo Tróia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silvinho Guerra struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Rômulo Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paratipe SC. When Paratipe SC's Luiz Gustavo Schmidt in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ardeira's goalie prevented a goal. When Américo Penha fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ardeira's protests and gave Américo Penha a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Ardeira got a freekick which was hit by Américo Penha. Paulinho de Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ardeira's zone, Luiz Gustavo Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo Tróia came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gonçalo Dantas made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Valdomiro Araújo sent off a good shot on target. Rômulo Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho de Carvalho in the 36th minute of play. In the 37thth minute of the game Luiz Gustavo Schmidt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ardeira's Rômulo Tróia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ardeira's Rômulo Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo Schmidt in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulinho de Carvalho in the 40th minute of play forced Ardeira's goalkeeper Rômulo Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ardeira's Eurico Veiga got a free kick in the 40th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Ardeira's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Schmidt came free, but Rômulo Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Rafinha Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ardeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paratipe SC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ardeira fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Paratipe SC a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eliseu Koehler, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ardeira's Rômulo Tróia. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leopoldo Barbosa to strike the kick off in the second half. Valdomiro Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gonçalo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Luiz Gustavo Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paratipe SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Gustavo Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rômulo Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luiz Gustavo Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ardeira's goalkeeper Rômulo Tróia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wiliam Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Schmidt in the 75th minute of play forced Ardeira's goalkeeper Rômulo Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Luiz Gustavo Schmidt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rômulo Tróia was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute, Allan Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paratipe SC were awarded a corner in the 100th minute after Ardeira's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eliseu Koehler took the corner. Paratipe SC's Eliseu Koehler was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rômulo Tróia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paratipe SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
