Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Régis Freire got the match started through his kick off. Valdomiro Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Antônio Carlos França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ardeira's Rômulo Tróia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Ardeira from getting a goal against them. If Luisão Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ardeira's zone, Luisão Passos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo Tróia came out of the goal and Luisão Passos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Luisão Passos came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Junqueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisão Passos couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ardeira getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Wiliam Varela hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Régis Freire in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rômulo Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Junqueira's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos França, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rômulo Tróia made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Luisão Passos sent off a good shot on target. Leopoldo Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Antônio Carlos França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Leopoldo Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
When Régis Freire came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Junqueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Régis Freire couldn't finish the play. Rômulo Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Leopoldo Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Régis Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rômulo Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Leopoldo Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdomiro Araújo got free with Antônio Carlos França in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar das Neves in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rômulo Tróia saved Ardeira from getting behind. Rômulo Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Régis Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Junqueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Régis Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rômulo Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Ardeira players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
