Régis Freire started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Paratipe SC's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Freire came free, but Gonçalo Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Régis Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gonçalo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With splendid footwork Luiz Gustavo Schmidt arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 18th minute. Antônio Carlos França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo Schmidt in the 24th minute of the match. Paulinho de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Carlos França made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Paulinho de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Junqueira's Antônio Carlos França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo Schmidt in the 34th minute of play. Roger de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Paratipe SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger de Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Junqueira got a freekick which was hit by Roger de Alcântara. Ivo Motta hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Gustavo Schmidt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antônio Carlos França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho de Carvalho in the 53rd minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Paratipe SC's Luiz Gustavo Schmidt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antônio Carlos França narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Paulinho de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Luiz Gustavo Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Paratipe SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Gustavo Schmidt couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Paulinho de Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Carlos França was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Antônio Carlos França didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Paratipe SC's Luiz Gustavo Schmidt shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Antônio Carlos França came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute Paulinho de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Paratipe SC booed when Junqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Luisão Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Junqueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisão Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Paratipe SC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Allan Miranda hit a great ball. Luisão Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Dantas having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paratipe SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Junqueira had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
