Germano Mota took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baltazar Koehler. Queres SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. José Vítor Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho dos Santos in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Emborahy EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto de Lara to maneuver through the defense. Queres SC's Fernão Viana couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Emborahy EC. José Vítor Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho dos Santos in the 20th minute of play. Emborahy EC's José Vítor Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Emborahy EC from getting a goal against them. José Vítor Coutinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matheus Gaspar in the 25th minute. If Rubinho dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emborahy EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Rubinho dos Santos scored to the left of an out of position José Vítor Coutinho, making the score, 1-0. José Vítor Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Guimarães in the 36th minute of play forced Queres SC's goalkeeper Baltazar Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Emerson Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Zézinho Guimarães made the kick off in the second half. Emerson Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltazar Koehler made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Emerson Duarte sent off a good shot on target. 71 minutes into the match, Emborahy EC's Zézinho Guimarães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baltazar Koehler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 minutes, Pedro Luiz Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emborahy EC and the Queres SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, one of Emborahy EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Emborahy EC. José Vítor Coutinho went to the wrong direction when Fernão Viana was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Zézinho Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emborahy EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Queres SC's Baltazar Koehler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Queres SC from getting a goal against them. Emerson Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Baltazar Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltazar Koehler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emerson Duarte went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. José Vítor Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho dos Santos in the 93rd minute of the match. José Vítor Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Emborahy EC's zone, Rubinho dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Coutinho came out of the goal and Rubinho dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
