In the 18th minute Murillo Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Fantini came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lucas AD's Décio Paraibano. But to his dismay, Décio Paraibano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With a little luck, Canarana EC's Arnaldo Fantini got control of the ball when Décio Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnaldo Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. A hard shot 44 in the game by Décio Paraibano from a close distance when the talented Arnaldo Fantini managed to make a qualified save. Canarana EC's players were relieved. In the 45th minute, Erik Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luizinho Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Arnaldo Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murillo Rosado was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Décio Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lucas AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Décio Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 minutes, Luizinho Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lucas AD and the Canarana EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Lucas AD got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Teixeira. Arnaldo Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Paraibano in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Murillo Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Lucas AD's Luizinho Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnaldo Fantini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Murillo Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilton Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz de Mendonça having to make a save. In the 73rdth minute of the game Murillo Rosado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lucas AD's Luiz de Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilson de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th minute Décio Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Canarana EC booed when Lucas AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nilton Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilton Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Nilton Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz de Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Luizinho Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Fantini having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Lucas AD's Décio Paraibano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnaldo Fantini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Décio Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lucas AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Canarana EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
