The supporters of Imbu booed when Lucianos SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Luís Eduardo Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imbu's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Eduardo Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Imbu's goalkeeper Marcos Lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Augusto Nogueira. In the 13thth minute of the game Adalmo de Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Imbu's Marcos Lago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Faustão Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Lago having to interfere. Germano Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lucianos SS's Richard Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Pombal in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Lucianos SS booed when Imbu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Lucianos SS's Pedro Paulo de Almeida broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Lucianos SS booed when Imbu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 48 minutes Imbu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Paulo de Almeida who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Lucianos SS's Adalmo de Almeida got a free kick in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adalmo de Almeida to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Nogueira in the 56th minute of play forced Imbu's goalkeeper Marcos Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Augusto Nogueira took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Lago. Marcos Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 68 minutes into the match, Imbu's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Nogueira came free, but Marcos Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Imbu getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. José Maria Esteves hit a great ball. Richard Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Pombal in the 74th minute of play. Imbu's Marcos Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalmo de Almeida in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalmo de Almeida in the 84th minute of play forced Imbu's goalkeeper Marcos Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Imbu's José Maria Esteves got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered José Maria Esteves off the ground. After 87 played minutes Imbu got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Esteves. After a rather tough play, Imbu's Laerte Lira got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Adalmo de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucianos SS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
