Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by William de Brito in the 4th minute of play forced Goiaz's goalkeeper Fausto Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil das Neves in the 5th minute of play forced Codo's goalkeeper Silvinho Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Meira in the 7th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Codo's goal looked a bit too open when Gil das Neves came free, but Silvinho Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Osmar Meira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goiaz's Fausto Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silas dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Silvinho Pirani made a huge save. In the 22nd match minute, Codo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Lopez to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Goiaz booed when Codo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codo's Silvinho Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Codo from getting a goal against them. Fausto Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Meira in the 29th minute of play. Silvinho Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Meira in the 36th minute of play forced Goiaz's goalkeeper Fausto Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Lucas de Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goiaz's Fausto Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Goiaz getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Walmir de Souza hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

William de Britos short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Fausto Travassos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 54 played minutes Codo got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Neves. Gil das Neves scored 3-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvinho Pirani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvinho Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Terra in the 70th minute of play. Gil das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Pirani having to interfere. Silas dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osmar Meira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto Travassos having to make a save. Silas dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Osmar Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codo's supporters rose to their feet, but Osmar Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Travassos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If William de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Codo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Goiaz.
