Evandro Toledo's late challenge caught a Piraua SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd match minute, Macambira SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Jânio dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruninho Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleandro Diniz in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Rui Corrêa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Piraua SS's Bruninho Dracena. Bruninho Dracena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute, Aleandro Diniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Belmiro Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jânio dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Belmiro Mellos short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Jânio dos Santos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 21st minute of the match José Paulo de Carvalho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jânio dos Santos skillfully saved the ball. Jânio dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Fabiano Nogueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jânio dos Santos. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. Samuca Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio dos Santos having to interfere. If Aleandro Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui Corrêa made a kick off. Bruninho Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Corrêa in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Corrêa in the 60th minute of play forced Piraua SS's goalkeeper Bruninho Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Piraua SS's zone, Rui Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Dracena came out of the goal and Rui Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luiz Fabiano Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Macambira SS's Genílson Matorin got a free kick in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the match, Piraua SS's Luiz Fabiano Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jânio dos Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bruninho Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleandro Diniz in the 76th minute. Rui Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Bruninho Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macambira SS. Aleandro Diniz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Bruninho Dracena made a huge save. When Macambira SS's Rui Corrêa in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piraua SS's goalie prevented a goal. Bruninho Dracena made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Evandro Toledo sent off a good shot on target. Aleandro Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Bruninho Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Evandro Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruninho Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Corrêa in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of Macambira SS booed when Piraua SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macambira SS were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
