Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Chiniqua SS's Gláuber Paiva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chiniqua SS's Zeca Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Abreu in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Paiva in the 6th minute of play forced Campinorte's goalkeeper Danilo Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiniqua SS were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Campinorte's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudinei Paraibano took the corner. 13 minutes into the game, Ramón Abreu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zeca Dias. Ramón Abreu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Sidney Vidal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zeca Dias. Chiniqua SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Rodrigo de Godoy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zeca Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Abreu in the 24th minute of play. Danilo Britto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gláuber Paiva's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Gláuber Paiva struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Danilo Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiniqua SS. Rodrigo de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Zeca Dias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Chiniqua SS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Marcel Cunha hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ramón Abreu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeca Dias was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Campinorte were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Chiniqua SS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rodolfo Amaral took the corner. After taking down the ball on Campinorte's corner Rodolfo Amaral fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zeca Dias quite easily take care of the ball. If Sandrinho Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramón Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, José Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo de Godoy scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeca Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62ndth minute of the game Gláuber Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Campinorte's Danilo Britto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Leopoldo Vergílio fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campinorte's protests and gave Leopoldo Vergílio a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Campinorte got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Vergílio. In the 65thth minute of the game Rodrigo de Godoy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chiniqua SS's Zeca Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chiniqua SS's Gláuber Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Campinorte's Leopoldo Vergílio got a free kick in the 71st minute. Sandrinho Paraibano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo Britto having to make a save. If Sandrinho Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Paiva in the 81st minute of play. Rodrigo de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute Ramón Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gláuber Paiva struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Danilo Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiniqua SS. Danilo Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Paiva in the 89th minute of the match. Ramón Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chiniqua SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Campinorte.
