Itabirinha AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caponga FC the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Itabirinha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian de Senna to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias de Azevedo in the 21st minute of play forced Itabirinha AD's goalkeeper Didi Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. One of Caponga FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Itabirinha AD:s goal. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gernando Velloso. Doni Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Didi Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. If Mateus Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Itabirinha AD booed when Caponga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball.
