When Afonso Martins fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taciua SC's protests and gave Afonso Martins a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes, Itabirinha AD's Renatinho Lopez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adelino Linhares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itabirinha AD reached it. Adelino Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rafa Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taciua SC's protests and gave Rafa Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. Rafa Tinoco hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Adelino Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 33rd minute of the match Afonso Martins completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Afonso Martins a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 33 played minutes Taciua SC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Martins. 38 minutes into the match, Taciua SC's Edson Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Didi Furtado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benê Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Furtado having to interfere. Didi Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Cristian de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After 55 played minutes Taciua SC got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Nunes. After 58 played minutes, Itabirinha AD's Percy Saraiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adelino Linhares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Mateus Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Adelino Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Taciua SC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Eugênio Nunes hit a great ball. Percy Saraiva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cristian de Senna struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Adelino Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itabirinha AD. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Severo in the 86th minute of play forced Taciua SC's goalkeeper Adelino Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Linhares having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Mateus Severo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Adelino Linhares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Itabirinha AD had played much better football throughout.
