If Hortêncio Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Arce having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Campolide's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Silveira came free, but Dedé Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Varela's late challenge caught a Pacova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Varela helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Campolide got a freekick which was hit by Charles Varela. In the 12th minute, Dudu Pontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dudu Pontes sped through Campolide's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dedé Arce. In the 26th minute, Vivaldo Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vivaldo Silveira took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dedé Arce. Dedé Arce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After having played for 39 minutes, Diego da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campolide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego da Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 minutes of play Campolide's Charles Varela was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Silveira in the 46th minute of play forced Campolide's goalkeeper Dedé Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vivaldo Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Pacova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vivaldo Silveira couldn't finish the play. After the first half Pacova were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vivaldo Silveira was the one to do the kick off. Dedé Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Silveira in the 58th minute of play. Enio Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Vivaldo Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Pacova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vivaldo Silveira couldn't finish the play. The long shot by Hortêncio Rossi in the 74th minute really tested Dedé Arce's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Campolide's Dinei de Souza got a free kick in the 79th minute. Vivaldo Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Campolide got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Mota. If Vivaldo Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Vivaldo Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Dedé Arce. Campolide's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. If Diego da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ernani Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
