Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when José Carlos Passos kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Ronaldo dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mariana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vermelhos FC the free kick. The supporters of Vermelhos FC booed when Mariana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramón Urbano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 5 played minutes Mariana got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Maranhense. José Carlos Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Vermelhos FC's Adolfo da Costa got control of the ball when Mathias Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Andrézinho Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Vermelhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrézinho Diniz couldn't finish the play. Mathias Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Adolfo da Costa made a huge save. Guilherme da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 29 played minutes Vermelhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando de Azevedo. Vermelhos FC's Adolfo da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Vermelhos FC from getting a goal against them. Mathias Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo da Costa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Branco in the 39th minute of play forced Mariana's goalkeeper Jean Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrézinho Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jean Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Carlos Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Cavalcante having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Guilherme da Mata made the kick off in the second half. When José Carlos Passos came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Vermelhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Carlos Passos couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the game, Mariana's Guilherme da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adolfo da Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 57 minutes, José Carlos Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vermelhos FC and the Mariana players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Carlos Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Adolfo da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Hoffmann in the 58th minute of play. Adolfo da Costa came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Mariana's Guilherme da Mata. But to his dismay, Guilherme da Mata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vermelhos FC's goalkeeper Adolfo da Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Vermelhos FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Rony Branco hit a great ball. Mariana's Mathias Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo da Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guilherme da Mata's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Vermelhos FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Rony Branco hit a great ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Guilherme da Mata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vermelhos FC's Adolfo da Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute José Carlos Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vermelhos FC's zone, Mathias Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo da Costa came out of the goal and Mathias Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guilherme da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Adolfo da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Passos in the 91st minute of play.
