Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacinto Coelho started the match with the kick off. Jacinto Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Tadeu Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8thth minute of the game Júnior Massa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cariuacanga AD's Carlos Augusto Perez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Joatuba SC's goalkeeper Tadeu Pena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tadeu Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Baiano in the 11th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Perez was a little too slow when Tiaguinho Mota got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. Davi Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tadeu Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joatuba SC's Tadeu Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Coelho in the 21st minute of play. Tiaguinho Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cariuacanga AD's zone, Júnior Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Perez came out of the goal and Júnior Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cariuacanga AD's Vito Prestes got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Cariuacanga AD's Jacinto Coelho in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Joatuba SC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Trancoso got free with Carlos Augusto Perez in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Joatuba SC's Tadeu Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Coelho in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Davi Baiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeu Pena was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 59 minutes, Eriberto Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joatuba SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Augusto Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Júnior Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Carlos Augusto Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Augusto Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cariuacanga AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Joatuba SC.
