After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Marquinhos Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pranchado's supporters rose to their feet, but Marquinhos Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edinho Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Urbano in the 23rd minute of play forced Pranchado's goalkeeper Elivélton da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Velha AD's Josué Urbano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elivélton da Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Velha AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pranchado the free kick. Fausto Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Velha AD's Aníbal Alagoano got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
