Charles Goiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cauã de Castro went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Leopoldo Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ferreiros SC's Carlos Ceresso got a free kick in the 15th minute. Cauã de Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charles Goiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Ferreiros SC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Reinaldo Leme hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, one of Ferreiros SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 23 minutes into the game, Cauã de Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Charles Goiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the game, Bastister's Cauã de Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles Goiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. When Wágner Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bastister's protests and gave Wágner Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Wágner Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 35 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bastister's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fabiano Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Fabiano Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Charles Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fabiano Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th minute, Carlos Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 50 minutes Ferreiros SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Magno Nóbrega who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Magno Nóbrega almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ferreiros SC's Charles Goiano did a great save. After the first half Bastister were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fabiano Cosme was the one to do the kick off. When %teams%'s Luiz Fabiano Cosme was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-5 just inside the left pole, 56 minutes into the game. Charles Goiano was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. If Rodriguinho Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moisés Brasil came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferreiros SC's Leopoldo Quintal. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Moisés Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Eger in the 73rd minute of play. Charles Goiano was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Luiz Fabiano Cosme capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Fabiano Cosme really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Erasmo Botelho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Quintal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moisés Brasil was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Moisés Brasil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodriguinho Eger's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When Luiz Fabiano Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Bastister fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Cosme couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bastister walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
