Comandante AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cornelius SC the free kick. José Vítor Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Telmo Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cornelius SC booed when Comandante AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Comandante AD's Dito Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cacá Loyola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Telmo Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Moraes having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Comandante AD's João Vítor Pontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cacá Loyola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Comandante AD's Dito Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Cornelius SC got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Martins. Cacá Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Leão in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Cornelius SC's Kauã Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafa Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Joaquim Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 35th match minute, Comandante AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Leão to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Cacá Loyola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 39 played minutes Cornelius SC got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Martins. Cacá Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Souza in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Telmo Zanette was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Cornelius SC got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Martins. Cornelius SC's Telmo Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafa Moraes made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Kauã Zanette sent off a good shot on target. Cacá Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Cornelius SC's Elivélton Martins got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Elivélton Martins off the ground. Rafa Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cornelius SC's zone, Dito Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Loyola came out of the goal and Dito Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Souza in the 83rd minute of play forced Cornelius SC's goalkeeper Cacá Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelius SC's Cacá Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Souza in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Cornelius SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Couto to maneuver through the defense. Cacá Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Souza in the 91st minute of play. Rafa Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kauã Zanette went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
