Pelego's Jefferson Secco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Pelego from getting a goal against them. Sílvio Luiz de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pelego booed when Cobe SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cobe SC's zone, Sílvio Luiz de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleandro Paraense came out of the goal and Sílvio Luiz de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Negri scored 2-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jefferson Secco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Fred Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Secco made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Fred Negri sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Velloso's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Jefferson Secco - 3-0 was put on the score board in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jefferson Paes couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Jefferson Paes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aleandro Paraense, 3-1. If Jefferson Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jefferson Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Nunes's late challenge caught a Cobe SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. Vânderson Amorim was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Geovanni Trigo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Pelego got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Bezerra. Cobe SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
