Otávio Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Gabriel Alagoano in the 3rd minute. Otávio Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Passos in the 8th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Oiricuri SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Barreto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri do Valle in the 11th minute of play forced Pitanga's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percival Passos struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Otávio Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pitanga. 19 minutes into the game, Ivo Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pitanga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oiricuri SC the free kick. In the 19th minute, Ivo Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valério Dracena charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valério Dracena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Pitanga got a freekick which was hit by Valério Dracena. After a rather tough play, Pitanga's Valério Dracena got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Nestor Pena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Paulo Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Pena in the 35th minute of play forced Pitanga's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Oiricuri SC booed when Pitanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Gabriel Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Otávio Araújo made a huge save. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Oiricuri SC's goalkeeper Otávio Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Percival Passos came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Pitanga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percival Passos couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, Pitanga's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Pena came free, but Pedro Paulo Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Percival Passos was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, one of Oiricuri SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 60 minutes into the game, Pitanga's Tiago Gabriel Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otávio Araújo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Pitanga's Valério Dracena got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Iuri do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oiricuri SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iuri do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Paulo Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rdth minute of the game Iuri do Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pitanga's Pedro Paulo Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Otávio Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Gabriel Alagoano in the 77th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Oiricuri SC's Nestor Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Paulo Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute Iuri do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pitanga getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bernardo Diniz hit a great ball. Iuri do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tales de Queiroz's late challenge caught a Pitanga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tales de Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Oiricuri SC got a freekick which was hit by Tales de Queiroz. If Tiago Gabriel Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Tales de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pitanga's Jorginho do Valle couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Oiricuri SC. Pitanga were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Oiricuri SC for a fine match.
