After 4 minutes, João Paulo Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vencedor and the Oiricuri SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Oiricuri SC booed when Vencedor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oiricuri SC's Iuri do Valle pulled a muscle in his back after 7 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When João Paulo Sá was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 7 minutes had been played. João Paulo Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Nestor Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Carlinhos Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olavo Lara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nestor Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Olavo Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vencedor's zone, Nestor Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Lara came out of the goal and Nestor Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 played minutes Vencedor got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Amorim. Nestor Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Olavo Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalmo Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. The referee ignored Oiricuri SC's protests and gave Afonso Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Oiricuri SC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Veiga. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Oiricuri SC had played much better football throughout.
