The corner led Umburaninha SC's Leopoldo Bueno to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Paulo Queirós despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 28th minute Thomás Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Thomás Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, one of Umburaninha SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Umburaninha SC. The referee gave Pitanga a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jorginho do Valle, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Umburaninha SC's Décio Zilles. 0-1. Percival Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Tiago Gabriel Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Décio Zilles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Bueno's late challenge caught a Pitanga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
