Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Inácio Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Olavo Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percival Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Paulo Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Pitanga players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Vencedor from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
