A collision led to Bicuda SC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Lucas Cosme hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bicuda SC's Edu Palmeira got a free kick in the 8th minute. Pedro Luiz de Queiroz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 15th minute, Chico Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romário Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tibúrcio Castro in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bicuda SC's Edu Palmeira got a free kick in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edu Palmeira during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Bicuda SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Thomás Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bicuda SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balbino the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bicuda SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Balbino. Marco Pombal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Romário Cordeiro. 1-1. After 37 played minutes Balbino got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Linhares. Sabino Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tibúrcio Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Leal in the 47th minute of play forced Balbino's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Pedro Luiz de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Saldanha in the 62nd minute of play. Romário Cordeiro came out of the goal and Sabino Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edu Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Tibúrcio Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Cordeiro having to interfere. If Sabino Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lucas Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bicuda SC's protests and gave Lucas Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Bicuda SC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Cosme. After having played for 86 minutes, Sabino Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balbino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabino Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 minutes, Juarês de Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balbino and the Bicuda SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Balbino getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Juarês de Queirós hit a great ball. After 94 minutes Balbino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thomás Rocha who took care of the corner kick. Bicuda SC's Thomás Rocha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Luiz de Queiroz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
