Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jorginho Lira kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes in the game, Sabino Britto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cacá Azevedo having to interfere. Sabino Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 9 minutes, Sabino Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balbino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabino Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Balbino's Tibúrcio Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cacá Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Luiz de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Lira in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Edvaldo Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorginho Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luiz de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Lira in the 29th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Balbino got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Linhares. Tibúrcio Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Balbino's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Lira came free, but Pedro Luiz de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvaldo Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edvaldo Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmílson Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmílson Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, Balbino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Linhares to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Sabino Britto made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Adriano de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Balbino's Sabino Britto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cacá Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Balbino's Percy de Amorim got a free kick in the 61st minute. Pedro Luiz de Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlinhos Rodrigues in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tibúrcio Castro in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cacá Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Geovani Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cajari AD's protests and gave Geovani Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cajari AD getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Geovani Esteves hit a great ball. In the 68th minute of the match, Edvaldo Dante got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Luiz de Queiroz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Cajari AD's zone, Marco Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Azevedo came out of the goal and Marco Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elder de Barros's late challenge caught a Balbino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elder de Barros helped the player get up and apologised. Elder de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juarês de Queirós during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Balbino's Juarês de Queirós got a free kick in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Dante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pedro Luiz de Queiroz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cacá Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Britto in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cajari AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
