Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sabino Britto made the kick off which started today's match. If Armando Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Luís Paulo Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luiz de Queiroz was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Edmílson Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmílson Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Edmílson Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Planchao's Armando Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz de Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Armando Couto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Luiz de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Vitório Goiano made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Tibúrcio Castro sent off a good shot on target. Henrique Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pedro Luiz de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabino Britto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Balbino's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Armando Couto took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luiz de Queiroz. Pedro Luiz de Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sabino Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 played minutes, Balbino's Marco Pombal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vitório Goiano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balbino reached it. Tibúrcio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Marcelinho Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paulo Silveira in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luiz de Queiroz saved Balbino from getting behind. If Armando Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Balbino players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Planchao were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Couto to strike the kick off in the second half. Sabino Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Goiano having to interfere. Planchao's Luís Paulo Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 71 minutes, Armando Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Planchao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Balbino's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Paulo Silveira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 83 minutes, Sabino Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balbino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabino Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitório Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibúrcio Castro in the 94th minute of play. After 94 minutes, Henrique Soares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Planchao and the Balbino players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Planchao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Soares to maneuver through the defense. Vitório Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Britto in the 96th minute of the match.
