Maurinho Favoretto's late challenge caught a Falas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurinho Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. Jardel Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match Luciano da Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jefferson Rosa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nilton Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jefferson Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Maurinho Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacueira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurinho Favoretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Jacueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Batista came free, but Jefferson Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurinho Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Elias Maranhense notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Falas's Beto Cardoso. Beto Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Washington da Mata hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Elias Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Cardoso having to interfere. When Falas's Fernandinho Batista in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacueira FC's goalie prevented a goal. Nilton Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Rosa having to interfere. Jacueira FC's Jefferson Rosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Jacueira FC from getting a goal against them. If Fernandinho Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilton Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Rosa having to interfere. When Fernandinho Batista came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Falas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho Batista couldn't finish the play.
