Maurinho Favoretto ran back to his position shaking his head. Thiago Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Viveirinho's Luiz Paulo Neves got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Tiaguinho Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Quaresma, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Viveirinho's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Maranhense came free, but Thiago Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Jacueira FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Terra. Armandinho Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Jacueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Quaresma came free, but Jefferson Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 26 in the game by Armandinho Chaves from a close distance when the talented Jefferson Rosa managed to make a qualified save. Jacueira FC's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Viveirinho's zone, Maurinho Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Prata came out of the goal and Maurinho Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaldo Terra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Viveirinho getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Faustão Guimarães hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Maranhense in the 53rd minute of play forced Viveirinho's goalkeeper Thiago Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Maranhense in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jardel Goiano hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Adelino Terra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 66th minute of the match Jonathan Rossi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jefferson Rosa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the last second Thiago Prata throw himself and got hold of the ball when Elias Maranhense in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 75 minutes of play Jacueira FC's Jardel Goiano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jardel Goiano hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Tiaguinho Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Rosa having to interfere. After 87 minutes, Luiz Paulo Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viveirinho and the Jacueira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jacueira FC booed when Viveirinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurinho Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Thiago Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Jacueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Quaresma came free, but Jefferson Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
