When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luiz Eduardo Ramalho sped through Pirarema FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugo Sarmento. Dé dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Hugo Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pirarema FC's Hugo Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Ramalho in the 23rd minute of play. Dé dos Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Sarmento having to make a save. After 30 played minutes Pirarema FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Veloso. After a defensive mix-up in Vazante AD's zone, Luisinho Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Vale came out of the goal and Luisinho Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Vazante AD's Zé Carlos dos Santos got a free kick in the 35th minute. Marcel Trigo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelo Vale. Vazante AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Pirarema FC booed when Vazante AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luisinho Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dé dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé dos Santos in the 44th minute of play forced Pirarema FC's goalkeeper Hugo Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luiz Eduardo Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Hugo Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vazante AD. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The Pirarema FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vazante AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
