Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Almir da Cunha started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Almir da Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Sarmento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Lenílson Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lenílson Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patrício Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Veloso in the 18th minute of the match. Luisinho Veloso charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisinho Veloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Luisinho Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Almir da Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Sarmento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. If Andrézinho Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir da Cunha in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Almir da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gavioes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Almir da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Sarmento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Almir da Cunha's shot from short distance in the 40th minute.

The wind increased when Luisinho Veloso made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Otávio Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir da Cunha in the 53rd minute of play. Oswaldo Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Hugo Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Sarmento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Barreto in the 58th minute. Patrício Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisinho Veloso's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Luisinho Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute, Andrézinho Prado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pirarema FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 71st minute Almir da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th match minute, Gavioes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Castro to maneuver through the defense. Luisinho Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pirarema FC booed when Gavioes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oswaldo Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavioes FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
