Fernão Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Tavares having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Engasgo SS's goal looked a bit too open when Fernão Prado came free, but Cristian Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulisses Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Denílson Mandrak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emílio Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Fernão Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Macios SC booed when Engasgo SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulisses Koehler in the 18th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Guilherme de Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Macios SC's Claudinei Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme de Queirós in the 52nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denílson Mandrak during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Eliseu de Queiroz sped through Macios SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudinei Marques. Ulisses Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cristian Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Engasgo SS's zone, Ulisses Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Tavares came out of the goal and Ulisses Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernão Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Cristian Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Luiz Guilherme de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Eliseu de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Guilherme de Queirós scored 2-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinei Marques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Engasgo SS's goalkeeper Cristian Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Abel Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliseu de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Claudinei Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olavo Bueno was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Olavo Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match Celso Prestes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Marques showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 91st minute Luiz Guilherme de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinei Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme de Queirós in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Engasgo SS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Macios SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
