Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cesinha Britto got the match started through his kick off. Cesinha Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio Marinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesinha Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th match minute, Eucum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Lopes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Eucum's Juarês Dante got a free kick in the 14th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Cesinha Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itapeteiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Basílio Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eucum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itapeteiu the free kick. The supporters of Itapeteiu booed when Eucum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Leonardo Borges shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lúcio Marinho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedrinho Tavares took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Toledo. Olavo Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hernani Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernani Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Olavo Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Pedrinho Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseu Corrêa, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Eucum's Pedrinho Tavares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olavo Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedrinho Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Toledo having to interfere. Hernani Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Olavo Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Hernani Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eucum's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernani Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Itapeteiu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedrinho Tavares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 82 minutes into the game, Leonardo Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapeteiu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eucum the free kick. In the 82nd minute, one of Itapeteiu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itapeteiu. The goalkeeper, Olavo Toledo, was totally fooled by Eucum's Eliseu Corrêa, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Hernani Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Toledo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Tavares in the 96th minute of play forced Itapeteiu's goalkeeper Olavo Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hernani Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eucum's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
