Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Donato Couto made the kick off and thus started the match. After 9 played minutes Bacatu got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Dracena. Basílio Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Couto in the 13th minute of play. Luís Fernando Goiano struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Basílio Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bacatu. Donato Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Lopes having to interfere. Petonha FC's Dionísio Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Luiz Fábio Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bacatu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Petonha FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionísio Quadros in the 26th minute of play forced Bacatu's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Lopes having to interfere. In the 31st minute Cássio Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Couto's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Petonha FC booed when Bacatu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes, Jânio Rezende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petonha FC and the Bacatu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Petonha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Fernando Goiano went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Petonha FC's Gilmar Souza pulled a muscle in his back after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 48th minute, Luís Fernando Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dionísio Quadros to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bacatu's zone, Dionísio Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Roberto Antunes came out of the goal and Dionísio Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Couto in the 59th minute of play. Luís Fernando Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Lopes having to interfere. The supporters of Bacatu booed when Petonha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bacatu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by João Francisco Almeida in the 67th minute. Bacatu's Donato Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dionísio Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Zé Roberto Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauã de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Iuri Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petonha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iuri Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Roberto Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Roberto Antunes came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Petonha FC's Dionísio Quadros. But to his dismay, Dionísio Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Basílio Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Couto in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Donato Couto notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Petonha FC's Basílio Lopes. Basílio Lopes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Luís Fernando Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basílio Lopes was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
