Alex das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Batista having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Alex das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fonceca AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tatajuba EC's zone, Deivid Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Batista came out of the goal and Deivid Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. David Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorginho Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Alex das Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tatajuba EC's David Batista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Valadares made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Mazinho Linhares sent off a good shot on target. Alex das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. David Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Maurinho de Queirós recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Valadares. Maurinho de Queirós showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Deivid Quadros to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Tatajuba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Quadros came free, but David Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deivid Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Fonceca AD's Deivid Quadros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 65th minute, Mazinho Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Tatajuba EC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Abelardo Luz hit a great ball. If Deivid Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Deivid Quadros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Batista. The goal made the score 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mazinho Linhares in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Valadares saved Fonceca AD from getting behind. 79 minutes into the game, Nilson Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tatajuba EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fonceca AD the free kick. In the 79th minute, Nilson Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gernando Schmidt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Batista. Tatajuba EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. José Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fonceca AD eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
