Ernani Gomes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Délio Martins. Pena SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Adiquinhao's Fellipe Cavalcante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Délio Martins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 97th minute Aluísio Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 100th minute of the match, but Délio Martins made a huge save. The Adiquinhao players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
