In the 7th match minute, Pagem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Nildo Zonta's late challenge caught a Quixabeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nildo Zonta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Nildo Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lino Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson dos Santos in the 12th minute of play. Décio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nildo Zonta in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavinho Hames in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Passos saved Quixabeira from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Pagem's goalkeeper Lino Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doni Britto. Wilson dos Santos's late challenge caught a Pagem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. Décio Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Hames, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Quixabeira's zone, Nildo Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Passos came out of the goal and Nildo Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavinho Hames was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Doni Britto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lino Barbosa. Pagem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doni Britto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Doni Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Barbosa having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Wilson dos Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quixabeira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Doni Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Lino Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilson dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Wilson dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Lino Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Barbosa having to interfere. Wilson dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pagem players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Quixabeira.
