Cajaibas FC's Adalberto Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto da Rocha in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th minute, Jeferson Mumbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luiz Fabiano Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tobati's protests and gave Luiz Fabiano Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Tobati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Cruz to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cajaibas FC's Adrianinho Mineiro got a free kick in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tobati's zone, Dalmo do Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Carvalho came out of the goal and Dalmo do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Tobati fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cajaibas FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
