With a little luck, Brumadinho's Romário da Rocha got control of the ball when Faustão Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Vianna in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kiko de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Maurício Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kiko de Toledo was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Faustão Sampaio took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romário da Rocha. Romário da Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Sandro Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kiko de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Luciano Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kiko de Toledo was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Cássio Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Humberto Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Romário da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Boiadeiro's Sílvio Luís da Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romário da Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Cássio Carioca clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. Sandro Baptista was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Brumadinho getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Sandro Baptista hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Brumadinho's Gabriel Mello got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Faustão Sampaio made the kick off in the second half. Leonel Lopez charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Brumadinho got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Lopez. Humberto Carioca struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Romário da Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boiadeiro. Faustão Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Romário da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Sampaio in the 65th minute of play forced Brumadinho's goalkeeper Romário da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Lopez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kiko de Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Boiadeiro's Kiko de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Boiadeiro from getting a goal against them. The Brumadinho players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Boiadeiro from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
