The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Boiadeiro getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cássio Carioca hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Jucal EC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Sampaio came free, but Carlos Fernando Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Boiadeiro's zone, Josué Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kiko de Toledo came out of the goal and Josué Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Brasil in the 13th minute of play forced Boiadeiro's goalkeeper Kiko de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes, Jucal EC's Gil Santos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kiko de Toledo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jucal EC reached it. Kiko de Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josué Brasil in the 16th minute. Boiadeiro's Kiko de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Boiadeiro from getting a goal against them. Kiko de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Umberto Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jucal EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Boiadeiro's Kiko de Toledo got control of the ball when Josué Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Umberto Brasil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Umberto Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko de Toledo having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Elias Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Carioca in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Fernando Pires prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute of the match, Humberto Carioca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlos Fernando Pires saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Humberto Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Pires having to interfere. Humberto Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cássio Carioca struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Carlos Fernando Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boiadeiro. Jucal EC's Carlos Fernando Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Carioca in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Humberto Carioca lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Carlos Fernando Pires. When Umberto Brasil came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Jucal EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Brasil couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Boiadeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Brasil came free, but Kiko de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Boiadeiro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
