A long shot from Magno Guerra in the 12th minute of play was well struck, but Jonas Chaves made a really good save at the right post. Robinho Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Chaves having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Ramalhete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Esteves to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Robinho Catarinense sped through Ramalhete's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonas Chaves. Tabapira were furious when Eliseu do Nascimento was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Ramalhete. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
