When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Paulo Fernandez made a kick off. Valdomiro Diniz charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdomiro Diniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Anísio Massa. Nuno Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Delfim Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simplicio. If Zé Paulo Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ciro Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simplicio's protests and gave Ciro Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Fernandez hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Zé Paulo Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Valle having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Conrado Paraense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anísio Massa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Fernandez in the 84th minute of play forced Bacurizinho's goalkeeper Delfim Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 played minutes Bacurizinho got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Diniz. After having played for 91 minutes, Manfredo Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacurizinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nuno Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bacurizinho walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
