Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jarbas Schmidt started the match with the kick off. Pedro Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Schmidt in the 5th minute of the match. Sydney Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Didi Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Alagoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Robinho Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franklin Meira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Bertassi. Alagoa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Alagoa's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Schmidt came free, but Pedro Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Setembrina's Robinho Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Robinho Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Setembrina's supporters rose to their feet, but Robinho Hermes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Bertassi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Alagoa defense, Jarbas Schmidt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Bertassi. The Alagoa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Bertassi should have stopped the shot. Juninho Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Didi Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Meira in the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alagoa's Juninho Meira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Didi Silva. That made the score 1-2 after 44 minutes of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juninho Meira was the one to do the kick off. Franklin Meira made a great header on Setembrina's corner, it was just that Alagoa's Pedro Bertassi managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Setembrina booed when Alagoa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juninho Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Silva having to interfere. André Luís Neto hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes, Alagoa's Egídio Sabóia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Didi Silva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alagoa reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Meira in the 69th minute of play forced Setembrina's goalkeeper Didi Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Setembrina's goalkeeper Didi Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Setembrina's zone, Juninho Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didi Silva came out of the goal and Juninho Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sydney Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Didi Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Meirelles in the 81st minute of play. Sydney Meirelles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Didi Silva having to make a save. The Setembrina players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
