The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Carius AD getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Luís Guilherme Antunes hit a great ball. 7 minutes in the game, Róbson Antunes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Armandinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Orlando Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esplanada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Róbson Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armandinho Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Esplanada's Caio de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Trancoso in the 27th minute of play. Armandinho Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Pinho in the 30th minute of the match. If Edmundo Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Carius AD's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Pinho came free, but Armandinho Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Carius AD's zone, Róbson Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armandinho Barral came out of the goal and Róbson Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caio de Sena made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Dudu Salgado sent off a good shot on target. The Carius AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Esplanada were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Pinho made a kick off. Róbson Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Barral having to interfere. In the 62nd minute of the match Juan Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armandinho Barral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Esplanada booed when Carius AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Salgado in the 74th minute of play forced Esplanada's goalkeeper Caio de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes Esplanada got a freekick which was hit by Willian Araújo. Edmundo Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Caio de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caio de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Róbson Antuness short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Armandinho Barral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dudu Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
