In the 7th minute, Guarabira FC's Aleandro da Fonseca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 12 minutes, Romeu Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calmom EC and the Guarabira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guarabira FC booed when Calmom EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 minutes, Jairo Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarabira FC and the Calmom EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jairo Donato hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute of the match Bruninho Montenegro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mário Maciel skillfully saved the ball. Aleandro da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão dos Santos having to interfere. Ramiro Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Maciel having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Aleandro da Fonseca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luizão dos Santos. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Jairo Donato hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Juan Moreira struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Mário Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calmom EC. Juan Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mário Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélio da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes, Guarabira FC's Fabrício Cordeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luizão dos Santos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guarabira FC reached it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juan Moreira succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Ramiro Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Maciel having to interfere. A collision led to Calmom EC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Cacá Costa hit a great ball. Nildo Pirani took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luizão dos Santos. Luizão dos Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Mário Maciel made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Ramiro Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Juan Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calmom EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Maciel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Juan Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Ramiro Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Guarabira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. If Nildo Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aleandro da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Luizão dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizão dos Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aleandro da Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. In the 94th match minute, Calmom EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio da Costa to maneuver through the defense. The corner led Guarabira FC's Fabrício Cordeiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Luizão dos Santos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Guarabira FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Calmom EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
