Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hélio Cunha got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 13 minutes, Hélio Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catuana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélio Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Váldson Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Hortêncio Cearense. Xiquexique FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Cunha in the 21st minute of play forced Xiquexique FC's goalkeeper Hortêncio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xiquexique FC's Hortêncio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Cunha in the 26th minute of play. Ernesto Pombal hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Hortêncio Cearense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Váldson Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Catuana's Manfredo Paraense got control of the ball when Kléberson Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Dé Tinoco made the kick off in the second half. With 52 minutes on the clock, Mário Leme commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Xiquexique FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Válter Chaves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Catuana's Manfredo Paraense. 1-1. Xiquexique FC's Dé Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Catuana getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Erasmo Ceresso hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Kléberson Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manfredo Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 65 played minutes Xiquexique FC got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Borges. After a defensive mix-up in Xiquexique FC's zone, Váldson Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Cearense came out of the goal and Váldson Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulinho Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Hortêncio Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfredo Paraense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dé Tinoco's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé Tinoco in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manfredo Paraense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléberson Figueiredo in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfredo Paraense saved Catuana from getting behind. In the 92ndth minute of the game Kléberson Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catuana's Manfredo Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
