If Dráusio Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bandarra AD's João Pedro Valadares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Bandarra AD from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, José Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandarra AD's supporters rose to their feet, but José Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafa Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th match minute, Xixas SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Almeida to maneuver through the defense. José Dante scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafa Bastos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rafa Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Dante in the 28th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Bandarra AD got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Mineiro. In the 34th minute, Rony Oliveira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Pedro Valadares, passed just outside the right post. Alan Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Dráusio Miranda's shot from long distance in the 35th minute was not bad at all, but Bandarra AD's João Pedro Valadares knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 37 minutes into the match, Xixas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Mineiro came free, but Rafa Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Raimundo Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes, Fellipe Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bandarra AD and the Xixas SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Xixas SS booed when Bandarra AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Mineiro to make the kick off. Rafa Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Alan Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 minutes Bandarra AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dráusio Miranda who took care of the corner kick. If Rony Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. João Pedro Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bandarra AD's zone, Raimundo Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Pedro Valadares came out of the goal and Raimundo Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 68 minutes of play Bandarra AD's Alan Guimarães was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Bandarra AD's Alan Guimarães got a free kick in the 68th minute. João Pedro Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Maranhense in the 70th minute of the match. João Pedro Valadares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Maranhense went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. José Dante struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Rafa Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandarra AD. Rony Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Dante might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafa Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Dante ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute of the match Dráusio Miranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Pedro Valadares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dráusio Almeida hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Bandarra AD's José Dante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafa Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Xixas SS had won after a very even match.
