Jardel Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Tepedino in the 5th minute of the match. Fiori Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jardel Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fiori Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fiori Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Furtado having to interfere. Mané Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Furtado having to interfere. Albertinho Sabóia hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Fiori Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mané Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléber Gonçalves during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Penapolis SC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Kléber Gonçalves hit a great ball. Willian Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Tróia having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Penapolis SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amílton Trigo in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesinha Tróia saved Penapolis SC from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Cesinha Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Sabóia in the 53rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Penapolis SC's Fiori Mesquita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jardel Furtado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mané Tepedino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Jardel Furtado made a huge save. Mané Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Quevedos AD getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Renatinho Alagoano hit a great ball. With a little luck, Quevedos AD's Jardel Furtado got control of the ball when Mané Tepedino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Quevedos AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Penapolis SC. Adrianinho Lira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jardel Furtado. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Penapolis SC's zone, Amílton Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesinha Tróia came out of the goal and Amílton Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Fiori Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penapolis SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fiori Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jardel Furtado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fiori Mesquita's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 91st minute, Amílton Trigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 98 minutes, Mané Tepedino made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Quevedos AD's Jardel Furtado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Quevedos AD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Penapolis SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
