Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernesto Ceresso started the match with the kick off. Cássio Negri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lúcio da Silva. Barrinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Cupim FC booed when Barrinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remo Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lúcio da Silva came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Cupim FC's Ernesto Ceresso. But to his dismay, Ernesto Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 13th minute Eugênio do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Fiori Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cupim FC the free kick. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Cupim FC. Cássio Negri stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lúcio da Silva. 0-2. Remo Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Barrinha's Remo Gerber got a free kick in the 24th minute. Cupim FC's Leonardo Breckenfeld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Cupim FC from getting a goal against them. Ernesto Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio da Silva having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Ernesto Ceresso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lúcio da Silva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Lúcio da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio do Nascimento in the 38th minute of play. Ernesto Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Cupim FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel de Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. Lúcio da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Ceresso in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Cupim FC booed when Barrinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Cupim FC's Cássio Negri broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Leonardo Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Matos in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Luiz Gustavo Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Gustavo Zanette hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Barrinha's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Ceresso came free, but Lúcio da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Luiz Gustavo Zanette was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 70th minute, Luiz Gustavo Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Amadeu Matos came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Barrinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Matos couldn't finish the play. After 78 played minutes Cupim FC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Negri. In the 82nd minute Ernesto Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 played minutes Cupim FC got a freekick which was hit by Manolo Jacinto. Amadeu Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Eugênio do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio da Silva made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Ernesto Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. Cupim FC played a much better game than Barrinha and deserved their victory. The Barrinha players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
