Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alberto Sá got the match started through his kick off. Edmílson Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaká Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Edmílson Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Aruana got a freekick which was hit by Tibúrcio Rezende. 18 minutes into the game, Caco Chaves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aruana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aurea the free kick. Edmílson Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Kauã Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Alberto Sá's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmílson Zanette was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Caco Chaves hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Aruana's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Sá came free, but Edmílson Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kaká Pena came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Aurea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaká Pena couldn't finish the play. Juninho Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renato Abraão was the one to do the kick off. Alberto Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Zanette having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaká Pena got free with Edmílson Zanette in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kaká Pena took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmílson Zanette. Edmílson Zanette dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 58 minutes into the match, Aruana's goalkeeper Edmílson Zanette had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Pena. When Alberto Sá came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Aurea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Sá couldn't finish the play. If Kaká Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes, Aruana's Carlos Linares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper André Coelho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aruana reached it. Andrézinho Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Marco Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 minutes of play, Aruana's Renato Abraão made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kaká Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmílson Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Sá in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Aurea's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Teixeira came free, but André Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
