Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcos Chaves took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Douglas Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaraciaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marcos Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Guaraciaba getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Osvaldinho Félix hit a great ball. After 11 minutes, Douglas Abraão made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mandassaia EC's Francisco Barros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mandassaia EC's zone, Douglas Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Barros came out of the goal and Douglas Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Chaves's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute, Elano Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elano Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Betinho Valle made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Andrade during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guaraciaba's Fernando Andrade got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Mandassaia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Chaves came free, but Francisco Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Chaves in the 36th minute of play. Francisco Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Abraão's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Betinho Valle made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Elano Linhares sent off a good shot on target. After 42 played minutes Guaraciaba got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Andrade. Mandassaia EC's André Luiz Arruda shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Betinho Valle but with some difficulty. Victor Mello's late challenge caught a Mandassaia EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Mello helped the player get up and apologised. 48 minutes into the match, Guaraciaba's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio de Azevedo came free, but Betinho Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Fábio de Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Fábio de Azevedo took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betinho Valle. Betinho Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 56th minute Elano Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betinho Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio de Azevedo in the 59th minute of the match. Luís Fábio de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 66 minutes, Zacarias Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guaraciaba and the Mandassaia EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Guaraciaba getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Zacarias Leão hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mandassaia EC's Michel Botelho got a free kick in the 68th minute. Betinho Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Linhares in the 71st minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Guaraciaba's Douglas Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 86 minutes into the match, Guaraciaba's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio de Azevedo came free, but Betinho Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Mello got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Luís Fábio de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Valle having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Douglas Abraão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Barros. Mandassaia EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Douglas Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Elano Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Betinho Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
