After having played for 4 minutes, Clemente Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piranga EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Piranga EC's goalkeeper Claudinho Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Bastos. Vicente do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Correia in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Piranga EC were awarded a corner. Ernani Vides went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Piranga EC's corner Ernani Vides fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vicente do Vale quite easily take care of the ball. When Claudinho da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Piranga EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho da Rocha couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Jandaia defense, Clemente Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente do Vale. The Jandaia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente do Vale should have stopped the shot. João Augusto Mello was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Jandaia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vicente do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clemente Correia's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Correia in the 31st minute of play forced Jandaia's goalkeeper Vicente do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Clemente Correia made the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Piranga EC's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Mello came free, but Claudinho Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinho da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Vicente do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Claudinho da Rocha put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vicente do Vale. 71 minutes into the match, Piranga EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Bastos came free, but Claudinho Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Correia in the 72nd minute of play forced Jandaia's goalkeeper Vicente do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho da Rocha in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vicente do Vale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vicente do Vale made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Claudinho da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Luís Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinho da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente do Vale having to interfere.
